ASRS AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures pre-assurance / audit-readiness support

Project Overview

Nick Scali Limited is a leading Australian furniture retailer with a national footprint across retail showrooms, warehouses and corporate operations. As mandatory climate-related reporting requirements evolve, Nick Scali engaged Rewild Agency in 2025 to support its preparation for compliance under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), ensuring a structured, credible, and well-governed approach to climate reporting readiness.

Our engagement to date has focused on building internal capability, strengthening data quality, and reducing reporting risk through early-stage advisory, pre-assurance/audit-readiness reviews, and overall project planning support.

Key Services Provided

  • Mandatory climate reporting advisory and readiness support.

  • Pre-assurance/audit-readiness review and gap analysis of scope 1 and 2 emissions and governance structures.

  • Best practice GHG emissions data collection recommendations and emissions boundary setting guidance.

Our Methodology

  • Provided ASRS AASB S2 coaching, guidance and interpretation to support internal understanding of obligations and timelines.

  • Undertook an audit-readiness assessment and gap analysis advisory to identify data, governance, and process gaps ahead of formal reporting.

  • Supported on scope 1 and 2 data collection, including boundary setting, and methodological guidance.

  • Assisted with supplier and landlord RFI outreach guidance, supporting improved data completeness, and traceability.

  • Developed an overarching project plan to coordinate workstreams, responsibilities, and delivery milestones.
