Embodied Carbon Analyses (LCA’s)
“Rewild was responsible for translating Assemble’s inherent good ESG practice into the company’s inaugural ESG strategy & action plan, including auditing, documenting & amplifying existing ESG and sustainability initiatives. Rewild went above and beyond to deliver a robust and detailed corporate strategy, which has been highly praised by our board and institutional investors.”
–Emma Telfer, Chief Operations Officer, Assemble Communities
Project Overview
Rewild Agency partnered with Assemble, a purpose-driven build-to-rent and development company, to create its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy — aligning the organisation’s purpose-led approach to housing with global sustainability frameworks and investor expectations. The strategy provided a unified roadmap for climate, social impact, and governance performance, positioning Assemble as a leader in ethical, low-carbon housing delivery.
Key Services Provided
Developed Assemble’s inaugural ESG Strategy aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.
Delivered benchmarking of net zero targets against national and international peers, defining a credible decarbonisation pathway.
Supported B Corp certification (achieved 2022) and Climate Active certification, establishing Assemble as a verified carbon-neutral organisation.
Established ongoing Climate Active carbon accounting processes for both organisational and project-level reporting.
Led climate strategy mapping to 2030+, including Scope 1–3 reduction trajectories and offset transition planning.
Undertook embodied carbon analyses across Assemble’s project portfolio and developed reduction strategies integrated into design and procurement processes.
Created a Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) methodology for new developments — enabling early-stage resilience assessment and integration into standard project delivery workflows.
Supported equity investment from AustralianSuper, with ESG credentials and certification outcomes providing strong investor confidence.
