— SHAPE Australia Project Team
Project Overview
SHAPE Australia’s Melbourne Head Office was delivered as a high-performance, one-level workplace fitout within Queen & Collins, a premium A-Grade commercial tower on Collins Street incorporating sensitively integrated heritage buildings.
The project sought to reflect SHAPE’s leadership in the built environment by creating a contemporary, healthy and low-impact workplace that aligns with best-practice sustainability outcomes.
Rewild Agency led the Green Star process, supporting the project team in achieving a 6 Star Green Star Interiors certification.

Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) services.
Key initiatives to achieve the 6 Star Green Star rating
Optimised energy performance:
Detailed energy modelling was undertaken to inform design decisions and optimise operational efficiency across lighting, equipment and services. The modelling supported reduced energy demand while maintaining high levels of occupant comfort and usability, contributing to strong Green Star energy credit outcomes.
Responsible timber sourcing and reuse
A strong focus was placed on material stewardship, with 95% of timber either sustainably sourced or reused. In addition, 60% of timber furniture was demonstrated to comply with Green Star “Sustainable Timber” requirements, supporting reduced embodied impacts and responsible forestry practices.Low-emissions materials and finishes
95% of engineered wood products were specified and verified to meet stringent Green Star emissions limits. This was complemented by the use of low-VOC paints, adhesives, sealants and carpets, reducing indoor air pollutants and supporting long-term occupant health.High-quality indoor environmental quality (IEQ)
The fitout prioritised occupant wellbeing through access to daylight, careful lighting design and the specification of materials that minimise off-gassing. These measures collectively delivered a healthy, comfortable and productive workplace environment aligned with Green Star IEQ best practice.Meaningful Indigenous engagement
The project included consultation with the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Land Council, ensuring respectful engagement with Traditional Owners. Indigenous artists were commissioned as part of the fitout, embedding cultural recognition and storytelling within the workplace and aligning with Green Star’s Indigenous engagement objectives.
