Project Overview

Chiesi Australia is the local arm of the Chiesi Group, an international, research-focused pharmaceutical company based in Parma, Italy and certified B Corp committed to improving the quality of life of patients while acting responsibly towards society and the environment.

With B Lab’s new V2 Standards reshaping what B Corps must demonstrate to recertify, Chiesi Australia engaged Rewild Agency to assess its current sustainability and social impact practices against the new requirements, and to build a clear, practical roadmap for meeting them ahead of recertification.

Rewild Agency also originally helped Chiesi Australia to certify as a B Corp in 2025.

Key Services Provided

• Gap analysis of existing ‘shared value and sustainability’ (SV&S) practices against V2 of the B Lab Standards.

• Facilitated working session to clarify compliance criteria and agree on priority actions.

• Development of a 2026–2027 SV&S Action Plan and B Corp Year 0 recertification roadmap.

Our Methodology

• Assessed Chiesi’s alignment across all seven new impact topics: Purpose & Stakeholder Governance, Fair Work, Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Human Rights, Climate Action, Environmental Stewardship & Circularity, and Government Affairs & Collective Action.

• Mapped each requirement and sub-requirement to its compliance timeframe – Year 0 (prior to recertification), Year 3 and Year 5 – with commentary on current alignment and key items to confirm.

• Distinguished between gaps requiring new projects and those that could be closed through minor changes to existing processes, documentation or methodologies.

• Facilitated a working session with the Chiesi team to work through each impact topic, answer questions on compliance criteria, and agree on preferred actions where the standards offer a choice of pathways (such as JEDI).

• Developed a workplan and roadmap defining key tasks, roles, responsibilities and timeframes, identifying what could be delivered internally, where advisory support would add value, and where external input or tools may be needed, with indicative budgets.

Rewild Agency’s Impact

• Gave Chiesi a clear picture of where it already meets the V2 Standards and where effort needs to be focused.

• Translated a complex new set of standards into a prioritised, time-bound action plan for 2026–2027.

• Positioned Chiesi to transition confidently to the new B Lab Standards and meet its Year 0 recertification requirements.
